A major council collection contract in 2018 brought new jobs and investment in nine Mercedes-Benz Econic refuse vehicles.
2018 marked a significant period of growth for Avenue Recycling following its appointment by Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council to manage household black and brown bin collections.
The contract covered around 58,000 homes across towns, villages and rural areas in the Borough. Avenue had already been operating green-bin collections in the area since 2011.
The new service led to the appointment of around 21 additional staff and investment in nine Mercedes-Benz Econic refuse trucks. The vehicles included modern safety and load-monitoring technology to support efficient collection operations.
Avenue Recycling was awarded a seven-year brown bin collection contract covering approximately 59,500 households across Antrim and Newtownabbey.
Avenue Recycling featured in the February 2023 edition of Irish Trucker.
Avenue Recycling supported Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke as part of its commitment to local organisations.
